KWE has experienced rapid development of our ocean freight division in recent years.

We operate a global Unified Freight System (UFS) for information management. In addition, all of KWE’s national sales and customer service groups work together into a gateway system. As a result of this, consignees get the advantage of the automatic buyers’ consolidation.

Within Europe, ocean freight operations are organised on two levels:

LCL (Less than Container Load):

Consolidation points, connected via consolidated containers, have been established in strategic locations worldwide. Rotterdam is ideally positioned as the European consolidation point. Specifically designed so that no intermediary re-loading is required, this system forms an intelligent combination of road transport, gateway and container enabling the smooth flow of freight by sea.

FCL (Full Container Load):

KWE has developed a level of FCL service, for freight requiring more than a port-to-port operation. For some large volume container moves we handle the land based operations only.
