Warehousing and Distribution
KWE provides warehousing and distribution solutions that helps clients improve their inventory management, reduce operating costs and speed up order cycle times.
Contract Warehousing
KWE owns and operates 154 warehouses with a total space capacity of 592,306 m˛ worldwide. Our unmatched expertise in managing dedicated and multi-user facilities supports clients' manufacturing operations as well as finished goods distribution. Specialised, value- added services focus on the needs of specific industries, including aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, drinks, industrial and healthcare.
Dedicated Warehouses
Usually run on behalf of a single customer, with a dedicated team who can be totally responsible for the whole of that clients supply chain or to a lesser extent to the storage and distribution of that client’s products within the operating country.
Shared User Warehousing
Optimised locations within a country or group of countries where a larger site that can accommodate multiply clients reduces cost and improves supply chain efficiencies.
Merge-in-Transit (MIT)
Improve delivery time and reduce domestic distribution and parcel costs by creating merge facilities close to end-customer demand. KWE’s systems and facility design ensure that inbound and outbound supply chains merge accurately and efficiently. Merge-in- transit is ideal for companies that source finished components from multiple vendors for build- to-order final assemblies and direct delivery to customers.
Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI)
KWE works with suppliers to set up VMI programs in distribution centers, in order to allow manufacturers to buy on consignment and increase availability of parts and components. Our customers pay only for what they use, so they can free capital previously required to safety-stock inventory. We help suppliers with production forecasting, transportation management and distribution to better fill customer orders, while reducing total supply chain inventory. Using shared data, the suppliers are able to better plan production schedules, procure raw materials more efficiently and achieve greater stability through consistent demand planning.
